Essential for efficient operation!

It has become common practice in the aftermarket to block off or disconnect the Power Reduction “PR” feature on compressors during repairs or replacement. This practice is NOT recommended! If the Compressor head is fitted with a PR valve controlled via the port 4/1 of the air dryer, it must be maintained in this way to maximise compressor performance.

Benefits of the PR system:

  • Significant power drain reduction during offload phase
  • Oil carry-over reduction
  • Temperature reduction during offload phase
  • Scavenging of delivery line, prevents freeze-ups
  • Reduction of noise level
  • Extended compressor life

NOTE: Warranty of the compressor or head will not be honored if the PR system has been disconnected.
